The Technical Manager/Application Leader provides technical support on application knowledge and product expertise in the industrial water treatment sector. This role involves advising on product applications, training sales teams, supporting proposal development, and mentoring team members. It requires a strong understanding of water treatment processes and excellent communication skills.
Technical manager / Application leader will be primarily responsible for providing technical support on application know how and also product knowledge to the commercial team members and Key Account Management team in Industrial water treatment business for the following industry sector – steel , Chemical processing industry , Manufacturing , pharma , biorefining , power , Refinery , Steel & Mining.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Description – Application Expert / Technical Manager, Industrial Solutions.
- Provide technical advice & solutions on product application/technology in Industrial water treatment chemicals for customers.
- Provide support with product Selection guidelines, support with proposal making & technical recommendations , Suppourt Trial runs at key customer location , trouble shoot application challenges , report gaps in treatment or application areas , recommend best practice.
- Train sales team on Product & application know in the field of industrial water & waste water treatment including utilities.
- Suppourt Sales in value documentation and case history preparation.
- Publish and Share case histories across the country / region.
- Provide global insight in new applications and support new product developments and product portfolio management for achieving profitability targets.
- Gather competitor intelligence.
- Track Technical competence benchmarking and Mentor/ coach team members on their individual development plans to excel in technical competence.
Required Skills/ Qualifications
- BE or masters in science (preferably chemical)
- Basic knowledge on chemistry & water treatment plant operations.
- Relevant technical support experience of 8 – 12 Years in the field of Industrial water treatment
- Experience of designing of water treatment process or working in the Manuafacturing process would be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills with an ability to articulate their view point succinctly and convincingly
- Learning agility and ability to put subject knowledge to use
- Problem solving attitude
- Good presentation skills and working knowledge of Microsoft – power point, excel & word
- Strong team player
