As part of this journey, we are strengthening our ERP organization by hiring a Technical Operations Engineer - IFS Cloud. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical operation, support, administration, and continuous improvement of our global IFS Cloud platform running on Microsoft Azure.

Our ERP platform is a critical operational backbone supporting business processes across Wilhelmsen. You will work at the intersection of ERP operations, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and platform optimization, ensuring a stable, secure, and high-performing environment for our global users.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across teams, and driving operational excellence in a modern cloud-based ERP landscape.

Your future duties and responsibilities

As a Technical Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining, supporting, and optimizing our IFS Cloud platform and associated services.

IFS Cloud Operations & Administration

• Provide technical administration and operational support for IFS Cloud.
• Monitor and maintain application performance, availability, and stability across environments.
• Manage users, roles, permissions, and system administration activities within IFS Cloud.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to application functionality, performance, and system behavior.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Background Jobs, Application Messages, and Print Jobs.

Cloud Platform Management

• Support and maintain IFS Cloud deployments running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Monitor Kubernetes clusters, application pods, services, ingress, and container health.
• Work with Azure services including:
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Azure Storage
  • Azure Key Vault
  • Azure Monitor
  • Log Analytics
• Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security.

Incident Resolution & Support

• Troubleshoot issues related to:
  • IFS Cloud applications
  • AKS infrastructure
  • Integrations
  • Networking and connectivity
  • Application performance
  • Database-related issues
• Analyze application logs, container logs, and Oracle database issues.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and production support activities.
• Support on-call and business-critical operations when required.

ERP Enhancements & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with business users to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support configuration activities, system upgrades, patches, and implementation of new functionality.
• Analyze current platform capabilities and recommend improvements to reliability, automation, and efficiency.
• Provide expert guidance on the effective use of IFS Cloud functionality and technical capabilities.

Integrations & Deployment Support

• Coordinate with integration teams and third-party application owners supporting the ERP ecosystem.
• Assist with deployment activities, environment maintenance, and release execution.
• Support CI/CD deployment processes and environment automation initiatives.
• Ensure integrations between IFS Cloud and surrounding business applications operate efficiently and reliably.

Documentation & Governance

• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and support procedures.
• Contribute to operational standards and best practices.
• Support quality assurance and validation of technical changes before production deployment.

Qualifications and skills we are looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Experience supporting or administering IFS Applications or IFS Cloud.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and business processes.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure technologies and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized applications.
• Experience with application monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.
• Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and enterprise application landscapes.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
