Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Monitor programs/projects from initiation (kickoff gate) through delivery (ship gate)
- Track progress on project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Identify needed resources for projects
- Facilitate communication and coordination across cross-functional teams
- Lead cross-functional program/project meetings, document meeting minutes and track actions
- Coordinate multiple projects and reconcile the interdependencies between them
- Work effectively and efficiently with others on the cross-functional team, consistently applying best practices
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Proactively manage program risks and issues through risk identification and mitigation processes
- Manage communication of program status, technical progress, and business impact with program stakeholders
- Track project change controls
- Ensure compliance with the Business Management System (BMS) and Product Development Policy (PDP) processes and procedures
- Schedule and organize project gate review meetings
- Collect and report on project metrics/KPIs
- Utilize best-practice project management tools and methodologies
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical degree
- 15+ years of professional experience in the software or IT industry
- 15+ years of program/project management experience for cross-functional projects for large organizations
- Ability to be productive with minimal direction.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Program/project management experience in development of new software products
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile software development processes
- Experience managing teams of technical professionals
- Analytical thinker, detail oriented, problem solver
- Excellent English-language written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Significant experience with project and program management methodologies and techniques
- Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PM) certification
- Experience working as a software engineer
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA and Confluence
- Experience managing solutions for Telecom network and services.
