The OpportunityJoin Hitachi Energy as a Wireless Application Engineer and become a key technical expert supporting system integrators and utility customers with our advanced wireless solutions. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge communication technologies, providing hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and product demonstrations. You will collaborate with regional teams and customers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of wireless systems, while contributing to innovation and continuous improvement in utility communication infrastructure.
How You Will Make an Impact- Provide technical support for system integrators and utility customers using Hitachi Energy Wireless Solutions
- Debug, resolve, and reproduce critical issues to ensure optimal customer experience
- Support integration and launch of new products at customer sites
- Prepare and configure devices for demonstrations, diagnostics, and application evaluations
- Perform remote and onsite service work, including equipment assessment and field upgrades
- Utilize Customer Resolution Management tools to track and escalate product issues
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product management to improve solutions
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences to represent the organization
- BSc or MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in customer support and testing of network protocols/telecommunication systems
- Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi standards, broadband applications, and host stack protocols (IPv4/IPv6/TCP/UDP)
- Advanced Linux skills and familiarity with database solutions (MySQL, Oracle)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
- Preferred: Experience with 4G/5G technologies, 3GPP specs, field testing, and debugging tools (Wireshark, QXDM)
- Familiarity with VMware setup and CRM tools for customer support is a plus
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
