Overview:
Elaborate manuals, procedures, specifications, installation instructions, training materials according to the internal procedure. Doing research and a lot documentation activities, in order to prepare a correct technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Research, write, edit, and proofread complex, topic-based technical documentation (manuals, procedures, specifications, installation instructions, training materials) in accordance with company standards and style guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, System Test, and Product Management, to gather and verify information.
- Tailor content to meet the needs of specific user personas.
- Conduct quality reviews and verify the accuracy of the product directly.
- Coordinate and manage translation processes to ensure consistency and accuracy across languages.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives within the organization, including content planning, feedback, and documentation of new solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent command / highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Teamwork skills, resilience, responsible and quality-conscious working methods, and technical understanding
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably within the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) sector.
- Our toolset includes Oxygen XML, DITA-XML, CMS platforms, Jira, Confluence, Git, Adobe Creative Suite, and Adobe FrameMaker.
- Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a quality-focused, proactive work ethic.
- Strong desire to learn new technologies, curiosity to figure out how things work, and a passion for improving the customer experience
- Technically inclined with the ability to grasp complex systems and translate them into straightforward, user-friendly content
Additional Skills (Advantageous):
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Proficiency in German is a strong asset.
- Hands-on experience with software development tools
