Riverion is looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our growing data team in India. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in cloud-based data engineering, who thrives on solving complex data challenges and building scalable solutions using Azure technologies. Who You Are:
A data engineering professional with 4–5 years of experience, specializing in Azure-based solutions.
Proficient in SQL, with expertise in advanced query writing, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Skilled in Python for data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks.
Experienced in PySpark for large-scale distributed data processing.
Well-versed in data modeling, including relational, dimensional, and big data models.
Familiar with version control tools like Git and best practices in collaborative development.
Knowledgeable in performance optimization techniques such as indexing, partitioning, and caching.
What You’ll Do:
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake.
Develop and optimize data workflows and transformations using SQL, Python, and PySpark.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Implement and manage data models across various storage and processing layers.
Ensure high performance and reliability of data systems through tuning and optimization.
Maintain code quality and version control using Git or equivalent tools.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated with the latest Azure data engineering trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL Database.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data engineering.
Experience working in Agile environments and participating in sprint planning and reviews.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
