Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform and IaC practices. Automate provisioning across AWS/Azure/GCP, integrate Terraform into CI/CD, monitor and optimize performance and cost, document modules and architectures, and provide expert troubleshooting and support.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable and highly available infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. You will work closely with our DevOps, Cloud, and Engineering teams to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:- Infrastructure Automation: Design and develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning, scaling, and management of cloud-based infrastructure.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Work with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud Engineers, and Development teams to create highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor the performance, availability, and scalability of cloud infrastructure. Optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency, security, and performance.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate Terraform configurations into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable deployment processes.
- Documentation: Write clear, maintainable, and reusable code. Document infrastructure architecture, Terraform modules, and best practices for the wider team.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting support for infrastructure-related issues. Assist in resolving incidents and performance bottlenecks.
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform and cloud infrastructure management.
- Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Terraform: Deep understanding and practical knowledge of Terraform (versioning, modules, state management, providers, etc.).
- IaC Principles: Proven experience in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and frameworks.
- Version Control: Experience with Git and GitHub/Bitbucket/GitLab for version control.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar for automation tasks.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Networking & Security: Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing, firewalls) and security best practices (IAM, encryption, security groups).
- Troubleshooting & Debugging: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and automation issues.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment.
- Cloud Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or similar certifications.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and how they interact with cloud infrastructure.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Datadog.
- Other IaC Tools: Familiarity with other infrastructure management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is a plus.
- Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile or Scrum-based development environment.
