About you and this role
Dow has an exciting job opening for a Thriving Communities & Employee Engagement Program Manager. This role can be located at most major Dow sites globally.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing Dow’s Thriving Communities and employee engagement strategies, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen communities, advance employee volunteerism, and deliver measurable social impact across Dow locations globally.

Responsibilities
- Lead Dow’s Global Citizenship Thriving Communities strategy, including partnering with non-profit and non-governmental organizations in different regions to drive positive outcomes in Dow communities around the globe.
- Partner with global citizenship leads to ensure regional and local charitable contributions portfolios address community needs, aligned to the Thriving Communities pillar.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of community needs in collaboration with geographic focal points, and evaluate portfolio performance, emerging trends, and regional priorities to recommend strategic investments, portfolio shifts, and opportunities for greater impact in key Dow communities.
- Support global citizenship measurement framework and activities.
- Lead Dow’s volunteer strategy globally and empower Dow employees and ERGs to volunteer in ways that advance Dow’s global citizenship strategy and improve their communities.
- Provide oversight of signature volunteer initiatives such as MLK Day, Serve-a-thon, Pulling our Weight. Serve as lead and strategic advisor for NA United Way Workplace Giving Campaign.
- Partner with site Corporate Affairs and nonprofit partners in the hiring, training, deployment and oversight of Dow Volunteer Managers.
- Manage volunteer portal and tools. Monitor and analyze volunteer trends via partnership with HR and OOI through survey results, external partners, and technology platforms.
- Maintain governance, oversight and measurement requirements monitoring, and reporting for inclusion-focused grant program administered by the Office of Inclusion.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Ability to work with a team located in the United States, Eastern Time Zone, with potential for future travel to the U.S.
- For U.S. Applicants: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Skills
- Corporate Citizenship: Broad knowledge of corporate responsibility trends and expectations, Dow’s business strategy and objectives to build authentic and impactful corporate citizenship initiatives.
- Collaboration: Experience working on cross-functional teams and successfully managing multiple stakeholders.
- Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Prior experience in external facing roles (such as sales, marketing, business communications, site or geographic Corporate Affairs), community engagement and volunteer efforts.
- Relationship Management: Ability to work with a variety of cultures, functions and businesses, along with the skills to manage multiple projects and expectations simultaneously, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strategic Influence: Strategic mindset, strong initiative, ability to influence and work effectively across a diverse global team.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analytical capabilities and a proven ability to use data to determine strategic direction and tactical implementation.
