As our first dedicated UI/UX designer, you will be the foundational member of our design practice, joining a front-end team that values quality UX/UI. Our team is building data-intensive financial management applications and interfaces that streamline complex business workflows. This role will act as the primary design advocate, collaborating closely with engineers and product managers to maintain a high level of quality.
Responsibilities
- Own the design process from rapid prototyping sketch to final UI design
- Provide UI/UX ideas and expertise to engineers and product managers to iterate on complex business workflows
- Share and maintain design artifacts that document solutions and patterns
- Review, refine, and plan improvements to existing product UI
- Leverage and evolve the internal component library to maintain visual consistency and maintain development velocity
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional UX/UI design experience for web and mobile; finance/trading and data intensive preferred
- Proficiency in Figma and prototyping software
- Understanding of modern front-end development technologies (React/CSS)
- Understanding of design choices’ impact on performance and implementation
- Experience applying user metrics to UI design improvements
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements and priorities
The annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $225,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
