In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using Angular and modern frontend frameworks
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
- Cloud & DevOps
- Design and deploy applications in either BNY private cloud or public cloud
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
- Optimize application performance and scalability in cloud environments
- Design and optimize database schemas (SQL and NoSQL)
- Integrate with third-party APIs and services
- Implement data security and privacy best practices
- Participate in architecture and design discussions
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, with advanced degree preferred
- Backend: 8+ years of Java development experience with strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security
- Frontend: 4+ years of Angular development, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) OR private cloud
- Databases: Proficiency in relational databases e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle
- API Development: Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Version Control: Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket
- Microservices architecture and design patterns
- Containerization e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
- Message queuing systems e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ
- Unit testing frameworks e.g. JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Adaptability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members
