Video Editor Intern (Part-Time)

Position Overview

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Video Editor Intern who enjoys crafting engaging videos for social media and wants to build hands-on experience in digital content creation.

This is a part-time, Work From Home internship (2–3 days per week) where your primary responsibility will be editing videos for platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. You'll work on meaningful content including educational videos, podcasts, documentaries, campaign videos, and short-form content that supports our mission.

If you enjoy storytelling through video, are eager to learn new editing techniques, and like experimenting with AI-powered creative tools, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow while working on real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing (Primary Responsibility)

• Edit short-form and long-form videos for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
• Create engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, educational videos, promotional content, and podcast edits.
• Repurpose long-form videos and podcasts into multiple high-quality short-form clips.
• Add subtitles in English and Hindi/Marathi.
• Enhance videos using transitions, background music, sound effects, basic motion graphics, and visual effects where appropriate.
• Ensure videos are optimized for audience engagement while maintaining Farmers for Forests' brand identity and visual consistency.

Nice-to-Have Contributions

You'll also have opportunities to:

• Suggest creative improvements during the editing process.
• Explore AI tools that improve editing speed and production quality.
• Stay updated with emerging social media trends and editing styles.
• Design basic thumbnails or supporting creatives using Canva.
• Assist during content shoots whenever required.

Internship Details

• Position: Video Editor Intern (Part-Time)
• Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
• Mode: Remote (Work From Home – India)
• Working Schedule: 2–3 days per week
• Expected Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per working day (around 20 – 24 hours per week).
• Reporting To: Schneider
• Tentative Start Date: As soon as possible (ASAP)
• Stipend: ₹8,000–₹10,000 per month

Software Knowledge

Familiarity with any of the following tools is preferred:

Video Editing

• Adobe Premiere Pro
• DaVinci Resolve
• CapCut
• VN Editor

Design

• Canva

AI Tools

Basic familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools, AI subtitle generation, and AI-powered creative workflows will be an added advantage.

Eligibility

• Students, recent graduates, or individuals looking to build a career in video editing and digital content creation.
• A strong portfolio or 2–3 sample projects showcasing your editing skills is more important than prior work experience.
• Experience editing Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, podcasts, or YouTube videos will be an advantage.

Resources & Support

You should have access to your own laptop and a reliable internet connection.

Organization will provide access to the required licensed software and tools wherever applicable.
