Overview:

As the VP of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, designing, and developing Atlas’s next-generation platform. This role requires you to leverage advancements in AI and other emerging technologies to build innovative products that redefine industry standards. You will lead the engineering team to drive technical excellence while fostering an environment that encourages creativity and high performance. Your leadership will be crucial in assembling and growing a world-class team capable of delivering scalable, secure, and modern platforms aligned with Atlas's vision.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architectural Leadership: Lead the design and architecture of Atlas’s platform, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and capable of handling modern workloads with high performance.

- Leveraging AI and Emerging Technologies: Utilize the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data analytics to innovate and enhance the capabilities of Atlas’s products and platforms.

- Product Development: Oversee the complete product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring that Atlas remains at the forefront of technological innovation.

- Building a World-Class Team: Recruit, mentor, and lead a highly skilled engineering team. Foster a culture that encourages continuous learning, creativity, and excellence in delivering best-in-class products.

- Technology Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to define and execute the technology strategy for Atlas, aligning with the company’s long-term goals and market opportunities.

- Innovation and Modernization: Drive efforts to modernize the platform, implementing cutting-edge technologies and development practices, including cloud infrastructure, AI, microservices, and more.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, marketing, and operations teams to ensure that technical solutions meet business needs and customer expectations.

- Quality and Performance: Establish best practices for code quality, security, and performance, ensuring a reliable and robust platform for users.

- Budget and Resource Management: Efficiently manage the engineering budget and resources, making strategic decisions to balance innovation with operational efficiency.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Present technical concepts, platform updates, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or VP role.

- Proven experience in architecting and developing large-scale, AI-enabled, distributed systems.

- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, microservices, AI/ML, and modern software frameworks.

- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams.

- Expertise in Agile development and DevOps practices, with a focus on continuous integration and delivery.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with experience presenting to executive teams.

- Experience in a technology-driven, fast-growing company, particularly in SaaS or AI-based products.

- A track record of leveraging AI and data-driven approaches to solve complex engineering challenges.

- Strong knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, data pipelines, and cloud-based machine learning deployment.
