Web Developer

ValGenesis is currently seeking a Web Developer for the Marketing team based in Chennai, India or Lisbon, Portugal. The ValGenesis Web Developer is responsible for creating remarkable, differentiating experiences across our marketing properties. This includes conceptualizing and designing product web page designs, lead generation landing pages, and special campaign touchpoints – plus developing the code to bring them to life. This is the opportunity to help take an industry-known brand to the next level.

What You’ll Do

• Design new web page experiences in Figma, Photoshop, or your tool of choice. These designs will use our core brand assets to extend and enliven our website experiences. They should balance user experience best practices with modern, forward-leaning aesthetics.
• Design fresh user experiences across lead generation landing pages, using well-tested conversion tactics and best-in-class graphic design to increase their performance.
• Develop the code necessary to bring these pages to life. This includes HTML and CSS, plus necessary JavaScript. Work directly within our CMS to prototype, stage, and publish.
• Regularly measure the performance of new pages and run multivariate tests to maximize their effectiveness.
• Help maintain the greater codebase of our web properties.

• A portfolio that demonstrates experience creating modern, digital brand experiences via a modern web toolset.
• Knowledge of Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator or other similar tools for both wireframing and high-fidelity design.
• Strong experience in frontend development: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with backend development via a CMS is welcome but not required.
• Website architecture wisdom to combine mainstream webpages, landing pages and microsites.
• The ability to write professionally and colloquially and the wisdom to know when to use each.
• A wish to create digital experiences that impress, inform, and convert.

How We Work

Our Lisbon office is hybrid. We believe that in-person interaction and collaboration foster creativity, and a sense of community, and is critical to our future success as a company. Our hybrid schedule is 3 days per week, within a reasonable commuting distance to our Lisbon office.

Our Chennai and Bangalore offices are onsite, 5 days per week. We believe that in-person interaction and collaboration fosters creativity, and a sense of community, and is critical to our future success as a company.
