In 2024, Yext acquired Hearsay Systems, bringing together two industry leaders to form one unified organization. By combining Yext’s brand visibility expertise with Hearsay’s best-in-class compliant engagement solutions, we’re delivering even greater value to our customers. Our integrated approach unlocks a deeper set of data, insights, and recommendations — empowering brands to convert prospects into customers faster and more effectively.

This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility of remote telework with the requirement to be on-site at least one day per week on average. Occasional adjustments may be made based on team needs or project demands.

At Yext, we empower brands to deliver accurate, consistent, and engaging experiences across every digital touchpoint. Our platform enables businesses to manage their digital presence seamlessly—ensuring customers find the right information wherever they search.

As a Web UX Designer on our team, you’ll help bring that mission to life through well-designed, user-centered experiences across our global marketing websites. You'll work closely with the UX/UI Director to support the execution of design system updates, contribute to scalable page templates and components, and create polished, responsive designs that reflect our global brand.

We're looking for a proactive, highly organized designer who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. You should be confident working independently, comfortable navigating multiple time zones, and energized by structure, systems, and problem-solving. You bring strong visual and interaction design skills, a systems-thinking mindset, and a thoughtful, team-oriented approach to working with engineers, marketers, and other stakeholders.

What You'll Do
  • Translate business and creative briefs into responsive page designs, wireframes, and polished mockups that follow the Yext Web design system
  • Design content-heavy, marketing-focused web experiences that balance brand storytelling with usability and performance
  • Partner closely with engineering, marketing, and content to ensure successful implementation of designs
  • Contribute to the development, documentation, and ongoing expansion of our web design system in Figma
  • Make design decisions that align with system principles—balancing reuse, scalability, and flexibility
  • Build new components, tokens, and UI patterns when needed, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness across viewports
  • Create accessible, flexible layouts for landing pages, marketing campaigns, product detail pages, and help center content
  • Help triage and manage incoming UX/UI requests, collaborating on solutions and delivering high-quality outputs quickly and thoughtfully
  • Conduct light UX audits or usability reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Stay current with modern design trends, accessibility standards, and web best practices
What You Have
  • 3–6 years of experience designing web experiences—especially in SaaS, B2B marketing, or content-heavy sites
  • Clear experience designing responsive layouts, adapting components across breakpoints, and considering both user needs and business goals
  • Figma fluency: confident with components, variants, auto layout, and system-level organization
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to and evolve a design system, even if not from scratch
  • Strong visual design and UI sensibility, with attention to hierarchy, layout, interaction, and accessibility
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, managing your own priorities and communicating effectively across teams
  • A collaborative, feedback-friendly mindset and experience working with engineers and marketing stakeholders
Bonus Points
  • Experience building or heavily evolving a design system for web
  • Familiarity with multi-language or internationalized websites
  • Understanding of basic HTML/CSS and front-end development workflows
  • Comfort using analytics or behavior tools (GA4, Hotjar) to inform design
  • Experience working in or around content-driven CMS environments
  • Exposure to AI-assisted design tools or workflows (e.g., generative design, AI-based wireframing, UX copy tools)

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
