HP and Redington Establish Center of Excellence in Chennai

The move furthers a partnership of two decades between the two tech companies and serves to help fuel the adoption of new technologies.

Electronics company HP and IT company Redington have opened a Center of Excellence in Chennai to further the adoption of digital printing solutions within the Indian print industry, according to reporting by VARINDIA. The space spans 20,000 square feet and will facilitate tech demonstrations, professional training, process optimization and industry consulting.

Focused on digital printing solutions from HP Indigo, the new Center of Excellence will also run programs that will teach brands and print buyers how to best utilize digital printing and maintain a competitive edge in the market. Alongside its technology showcase, the new facility features finishing equipment, pre-press, post-press solutions and web-to-print solutions for commercial, photo, publishing, and labels and packaging segments.

“The launch of the Centre of Excellence reflects our long-term commitment to the Indian digital printing ecosystem and our focus on building skills for the future of work and driving innovation. It is also a moment to celebrate 21 years of trust and collaboration between HP and Redington,” Pawan Chauhan, country business manager at HP India, said in a statement. “Together with Redington, we are creating a platform that empowers Indian print buyers and businesses to adopt new technologies, explore innovative applications and grow their businesses.”
