Chennai is among the top three IT cities in India, drawing in major outsourcing firms and software startups to its popular IT Corridor, along with other areas of the city. 

Chennai’s tech growth has been rapid. Economists determined the amount of venture capital raised by Chennai startups has increased faster than any other Indian city since 2014. The city also boasts a high quality of life, according to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
