Designs low- to medium-complexity engineering solutions, drawings, specifications, and plans for manufacturing, fabrication, and construction. Creates and modifies 2D and 3D designs using Autodesk and other engineering software, verifies vendor drawings, coordinates civil and mechanical interfaces, supports design reviews, and manages project documentation, folder structures, permissions, and design packages in Autodesk Construction Cloud. Collaborates with global teams and maintains quality while managing multiple priorities.

Designs electrical systems for industrial automation projects, including SLDs, protection systems, equipment specifications, sizing calculations, layouts, cable schedules, schematics, and control logic. Performs power system studies and prepares RFQs and BOMs. Requires an electrical engineering degree, 3–8 years of relevant project experience, experience with large projects, electrical design tools, and strong technical and communication skills. Commissioning and service experience is preferred.

Responsible for selling products, systems, and services within ABB Motion’s designated market in Chennai. The role involves meeting sales and profitability targets, developing new opportunities, communicating commercial terms, supporting marketing activities, managing sales administration, assisting with collections and project management, and maintaining customer relationships across channel businesses, OEMs, EPCs, and end users.

Support sales by preparing technical proposals, costing, and final documentation for electrification projects. Drive E-House pre-bid engineering, evaluate vendors, optimize techno-commercial solutions, ensure standards compliance, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to deliver quality bids.

Execute basic and detailed electrical engineering for industrial onshore/offshore E-house projects: prepare SLDs, perform design calculations (transformer, UPS, VFD, earthing, cable sizing), develop schematics and layouts, support testing/commissioning, manage engineering deliverables, ensure contract compliance and stakeholder coordination throughout project lifecycle.

Lead technical engineering activities for low-complexity industrial projects (onshore/offshore E-houses). Perform basic and detailed electrical engineering, equipment sizing and specifications, SLDs and schematics, cable and earthing design, prepare engineering schedules, and coordinate stakeholders to deliver project deliverables in line with standards and safety/cybersecurity requirements.

Support sales by preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and documentation for electrification projects. Lead E-House pre-bid engineering, optimize electrical distribution, evaluate vendors, ensure compliance with international standards, and drive bid delivery and technical-commercial solutions.

Perform and lead power system studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonic, transient/load shedding, relay coordination, arc flash, insulation coordination, transformer inrush, renewable grid integration), prepare study reports and technical/commercial offers, estimate man-hours, support testing, installation and commissioning, and conduct on-site harmonic measurements.

Manage end-to-end international assignment cases, act as single point of contact for assignees and business, coordinate immigration, relocation, and tax processes, interpret policy and manage exceptions, communicate complex mobility information to stakeholders, and support training and coaching on mobility policies and programs.
