About CEMCOT Established in Chennai in 2008, the Chennai Environmental Management Company of Tanners(CEMCOT) is a specialized entity formed as a not-for-profit corporation under the Companies Act of 1956. CEMCOT was conceived as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) through the collaborative efforts of Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs) in Tamil Nadu. Our Visionary Initiative CEMCOT's primary objective is to lead infrastructure projects dedicated to establishing, operating, and maintaining Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems. These systems play a crucial role in environmental preservation and enhancement. Our projects have received significant financial backing from both the Central and State Governments, showcasing a successful partnership for sustainable environmental solutions. Formation of CEMCOT CEMCOT, or Chennai Environmental Management Company of Tanners, was established as a unique entity, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). It was officially registered as a not-for-profit corporation under the Companies Act of 1956 on July 15, 2008, in Chennai. This innovative initiative was the result of the combined efforts of Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs) in Tamil Nadu. Their common objective was to lead essential infrastructure projects specifically dedicated to the establishment, operation, and sustainable maintenance of Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems. These projects received crucial financial support from both the Central and State Governments, showcasing a harmonious partnership for environmental preservation and enhancement.
