The Power System Engineer will support project execution, analyze contracts, perform engineering, review designs, identify risks, and ensure compliance with EHS policies.

This internship involves working with Electrical Design and Power Electronics engineers on projects, preparing proposals, validating tests, and supporting project documentation.

Lead design, implementation, and validation of control algorithms for inverter-based solar and energy storage systems. Lead technical development of high-power converters for solar, BESS, and datacenter applications. Own full product lifecycle: design, simulation, hardware prototyping, HIL validation, grid-code compliance, and manufacturable documentation. Develop control algorithms, perform system integration, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with customers, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.

Design, implement, validate and commission industrial automation control hardware and software. Create and maintain design documentation, support customers and suppliers, manage engineering changes, integrate PLC/SCADA/HMI systems, implement industrial networking and cybersecurity, and support multi-disciplinary project execution including on-site commissioning and travel.

Design, size, simulate and lab-test power electronic equipment (VSD/VFD). Develop LV/MV drive hardware and control cabinet designs, calculate loss budgets, design filters/protection, prepare design documentation and BOMs, verify prototype performance, support manufacturing and conduct FAT/testing to standards, and assist project commissioning.

Architect and develop next-generation HMI systems for power and process control applications. Design HMI screens, implement industrial communication networks, develop software (primarily Microsoft stack), integrate with historians/databases, support field engineering, and ensure cyber protection and quality across the software lifecycle.

Lead controls engineering for solar, BESS, inverter and hybrid plant projects: detailed engineering, controls software validation, commissioning support, field implementation, system integration, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
