Lead an 8-10 engineer team owning courier systems (dispatch, matching, pricing, ETA). Set technical direction, drive data-driven decisions and experiments, partner with data science, ensure reliability and scalability of low-latency distributed systems, and own hiring, performance, and operational excellence.

Ensure platform reliability and scalability by collaborating with development teams to design infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, build monitoring/alerting, troubleshoot production incidents, participate in on-call rotations, automate configuration and deployments, maintain upgrades, improve security/compliance, mentor junior engineers, and drive process and organizational improvements.

Lead backend engineering efforts building highly concurrent, low-latency systems using Ruby on Rails and Go. Own architecture, performance tuning (PostgreSQL, Redis), APIs (REST/gRPC), observability and CI/CD. Mentor engineers, drive design docs/RFCs, resolve system bottlenecks, and balance short-term delivery with long-term architectural stability.
