Role Profile
Our customers in the Maritime Industry, including leaders in Shipping, Finance, Insurance, and Fortune 500 companies, depend on our solutions to drive their success. We are seeking an Account Manager to join our team and contribute significantly to our growth in 2025 and beyond.
As the Account Manager for the India markets, you will manage accounts, focusing on revenue attainment through value-driven selling in India. Key responsibilities include managing a renewable account base, identifying cross-sell opportunities, understanding customer decision-making processes, forecasting accurately, negotiating contracts, and closing business in a timely manner - all with a thorough knowledge of our SaaS solutions.
The ideal candidate is ambitious, results-oriented, and resourceful. In this role, you will define and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within your book of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning and developing a defined set of accounts, fostering exceptional relationships to maintain current figures and hit annual uplift targets
- Proactively hunting for new and cross-sell business opportunities, targeting areas of the accounts that do not currently engage with our products and services
- Managing and developing understanding of assigned client base to discuss and position opportunities to generate sales
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and key channel partners, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
- Hosting and participating in joint events with partners to drive market engagement, and organizing regular meetings to align on goals and performance
- Using Salesforce, effectively managing and forecasting sales per quarter
- Defining and delivering a strategic sales plan across your accounts, managing a robust pipeline and preparing accurate sales forecasts, new growth ideas and contingency plans
- Partnering with internal teams throughout the client lifecycle, from scoping custom projects to managing client deliverables
- Providing feedback to internal teams on customer needs and market trends in the Region, identifying opportunities for product improvements or new offerings

- At least 3-5 years’ experience of relevant sales experience practiced in value-based selling

- Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics for forecasting and reporting
Desirable
- A degree in any discipline, with a preference for candidates holding a degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
- Previous experience selling APIs, platforms or similar
- Previous experience working with strategic accounts in Financial Services, Maritime and trade, Risk and Compliance solutions
- Experience with business tools, and a solid understanding of the tech stack used for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making to identify trends, client needs, and potential areas for growth
- A customer-first mindset, with a proven ability to problem-solve and respond to client inquiries or challenges in a timely manner
- Adaptability and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining a strategic focus on long-term objectives
- Experience working in a multicultural or international setting, with an appreciation for diverse perspectives and approaches in a business context
