Position OverviewAs an After Sales Product Specialist, we proprietorship spares globally. Assist the service and sales teams to identify spare parts of the automated welding and cutting equipment. Review drawings and bill of materials to identify a correct repair parts for specific piece of equipment and check their availability. Recommend replacement parts when necessary. Provide product data for item setup. Review technical literature and engineering drawings to make recommendations on aftersales offerings.
Duties & Responsibilities- Handling the customer queries on parts identification by analyzing technical drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and ESAB documents within TAT.
- Request a quote from the supplier on new spare parts and negotiate the price and MOQ if required.
- Calculate the annual forecast and safety stock value, assign HTS codes, and share spare part setup data for EU and North American ERPs.
- The integrated concept of managing the entire life cycle of spares by business management as a product progress through its life cycle and after phase-out.
- Extracting spares and managing a parent-child database where parents and spares are mapped by region with product support dates.
- Categorizing the product bill of materials into spares, wear items, and components/assemblies, referring to Drawings, PLM (Windchill) and ERP (SAP, Infor mingle) systems.
- Handling spare parts complaints and queries from customers and service partners via Innosoft and Crisp.
- Reviewing and eliminating the ageing inventories that are no longer required for sales and support by ESAB in NA and EU warehouses.
- Item creation and BOM update in the Windchill Application for new products.
- Involving in New Product Introduction (NPI) Projects and Defining Saleable Spares, Kits and List Price.
- Perform a serviceability review for NPI and update the serviceability template along with the engineering and documentation team.
- Evaluate the packaging and labeling of spare parts for the new suppliers.
- Prepare recommended spare parts lists for customers on new machines launched to the market.
- Identify and initiate the changes in the spare parts manual using an ECN/JIRA ticket.
- Periodically review and Analyze the Cost and List Price and maintain Profit Margin benefits to the business management globally.
- Execute periodic reviews of the spare parts that are currently in stock and modify the inventory policy if necessary
- Create and modify SQL/Python queries and extract the master reports from M3/SAP.
- Prepare, track, and report project status with the manager with the proper level of detail and recovery plans.
- Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and profitability of spares to business.

- Required – Good command of spoken and written English
- Education Requirements
- Desired - College Graduate in an Engineering discipline.
- Technical Requirements
- Required - High level of general IT Literacy and MS Excel and ERP system skills. (SAP, JDE, Movex)
- Required – Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Required - Initiative to work independently, with little or no guidance
- Desired – Business acumen. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Experience Requirements
- Required - Manufacturing industry knowledge.
- Required – experience in at least one of the following areas: service, repair, testing or design of automated equipment.
- Desired – experience with CNC-controlled machines
- Mobility & Travel Requirements
- Desired – Ability to travel internationally. It is possible they could occasionally be asked to attend meetings and training in the EU and US.
