Job Description

Summary:

The “Analyst, IT Operations” will be based in Sriperumbudur reporting to Manager

In this role, you will be In-charge of performing operational processes and procedures to ensure all IT services, systems, and infrastructure meet business needs.

Day-to-day operational hold up and service delivery of the Hybrid Cloud IT infrastructure by monitoring and acknowledging to IT Infrastructure incidents through the incident tracking system. Proactively monitor systems for availability, capacity, and performance. Participate in the Patch management process, IT Business Continuity and Disaster recovery planning and testing. Computer programming to automate manual IT Ops wherever applicable.

What a typical day looks like

Handson experiance windows (2016,2019 & 2022 ), MSSql & linux OS
Installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMware virtual infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines.
Monitoring and performance tuning of virtualized environments to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.
Implementation of backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtualized environments.
Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems.
Discussing system and server upgrades with IT managers.
Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.
Providing technical support for staff and back-end system users.
Troubleshooting system and server errors.
Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.
Monitoring and updating the Windows codebase.
Managing user access.
Monitoring system performance.
Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups.
Handon experiance on backUP software Like veritas Netbackup, veeam and sysmantec
Perform daily monitoring and management of the backup environment
Perform problem management and incident correlation on re-occurring issues
Create and provide reports for backup and storage environments, related activities, and tasks
Create and update documentation for backup environments
Experience in Tape Library management
Advanced knowledge and experience with tape based backup hardware
Experience with deduplication storage systems, with Data Domain being preferred
Be an escalation point on all backup issues
Local and international projects internal career opportunities
Access to high class technologies
Provide 24x7 IT operations support in a team on a rotation and on-call basis
Collaboration with other IT teams to integrate virtual infrastructure with other systems and services
Documentation of virtualization infrastructure and processes for knowledge sharing and reference
Develop and exhibit technical subject matter expertise on the assigned backup and storage systems along with associated processes and procedures
Perform change management and incident management for backup and archiving infrastructure

 

Experience we are looking for

Windows Administrator Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
minimum 8to 10 years experience as a Windows & backup Administrator is preferred.
Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
Ability to create scripts in Perl, Python, and similar languages.
Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.
Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.
Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good analytical and communication skills.
