Team Overview
Client Solutions is a core part of the Preqin Global Sales team and serves as the primary front-line contact for our clients. As the “go to” team for all inquiries about the Preqin platform, Client Solutions plays a vital role in ensuring clients get the most value from their relationship with us. The team is well established, deeply knowledgeable across all use cases and aspects of the platform and acts as both the eyes and ears of the firm – capturing client feedback, spotting opportunities, and helping drive our customer-first strategy forward.
Job Overview
We are seeking an Analyst to join the Client Solutions team, and, in this role, you’ll be responsible for handling inquiries across multiple channels – including chat, email, phone – ensuring clients receive timely, accurate and high-quality support. As part of your onboarding, you will complete a structured training program designed to build expertise in private markets as well as proficiency across the full range of Preqin use cases. You will gain exposure to how Fund Managers, Allocators, and Service Providers use our data and tools, equipping you to provide exceptional guidance and solutions to clients.

Purpose and Scope:
Client Solutions Specialists utilize our in-depth understanding of Preqin Pro and our clients’ businesses to provide world-class service to our growing, global client base. Our team members come from different majors and bring diverse skills and experiences to the table, but we share a serious passion for solving tough problems and keeping our clients happy. Additionally, our team members will work closely with our Sales, Customer Success, Research, and Product teams to drive and improve platform supportability to ultimately increase client satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on service to empower our clients to run their businesses while using Preqin Pro: You will have direct, daily interactions with professionals in the alternatives space. You will solve problems that matter, making a direct and measurable difference to our clients. In the process, you will hone technical, industry, and relationship skills.
- Use technology to solve problems: We can teach the skills you need to succeed, such as Excel, SQL, and more for maneuvering databases to solve client problems. You will apply these skills to help clients utilize the Preqin database more effectively and efficiently.
- Educate users, demonstrate service insights, and relay user feedback to improve client experience and our product: We believe that the best client service is proactive, not reactive. We are students of our own data and engage with our clients and engineers to keep problems from arising, in addition to handling issues that are brought to our attention.
- Work on a global team, with a local presence: Our support model follows the sun if a market is open somewhere in the world, and so are we. You will get to work with teams across the world, acting as a key liaison between the Preqin Client Experience, Sales, Data and Research Management, and Product teams, and the wider BlackRock business.
Desired Qualifications:
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex issues in a clear way
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high self-assurance, positive demeanor and drive
- Experience working within a global team and tailoring your approach to different cultural norms as well as across corporate levels and business verticals
- Microsoft Excel proficiency: ability to sort large amounts of data to help with client requests using vlookups, pivot tables, 'what if' statements, and more
- Experience with Snowflake, Metabase, Postman, or any other similar tool for data analysis and visualization is preferred but not required
