The Applications Development Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. The successful candidate will interact with development, testing, and production support teams, as well as other departments within Citigroup (such as the System Administrators, Database Administrators, Data Centre Operations, and Change Control groups) for TTS commercial cards VisionPlus platform.

He/she requires good communication skills across both technology and the business and will have a high degree of visibility. The candidate will be a rigorous technical lead with a strong understanding of how to build scalable, enterprise level global applications. This candidate would be responsible for the development, and maintenance of Commercial cards systems which is built on VisionPlus platform.

The ideal candidate will be dependable and resourceful software professional who can comfortably work in a large development team in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork and collaboration. The ability to work in high pressured environment is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements
  • Identify and analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions
  • Utilize knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex issues
  • Analyze information and make evaluative judgements to recommend solutions and improvements
  • Conduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code for design specifications
  • Assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures
  • Develop working knowledge of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience working on Credit Card projects.
  • At least 3 years of COBOL/DB2/VSAM/CICS/JCL development experience.
  • Strong technical skills in Java 11 and above, Angular, Spring Boot, Microservices,  Docker, Jenkins, Git, Open Shift is an advantage
  • Comprehensive knowledge and working experience in VisionPlus Transaction Management System (TRAMS), and Interchange Tracking System (ITS) modules and association compliances.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
