Position Summary
This position is located within the Analytics and Business Intelligence group, which provides Data Integration, Analytics and Salesforce Development & Support to MAXIS GBN (a joint venture of MetLife and AXA). The incumbent be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions on the Salesforce platform.
Job Responsibilities
The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and other IT professionals, to troubleshoot analyze requirements, architect solutions, and deliver high-quality applications.
1. Design, develop, test, and implement custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other related technologies.
2. Collaborate with business stakeholders and other IT teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
3. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
4. Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems using tools such as Salesforce APIs, SOAP/REST web services, and middleware platforms.
5. Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to development best practices and maintain high-quality code standards.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce configurations, customizations, and integrations.
7. Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce features, releases, and industry trends, and proactively recommend enhancements and improvements to existing Salesforce applications.
8. Collaborate with other developers and administrators to optimize performance, scalability, and usability of Salesforce applications.
9. Document technical designs, processes, and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.
10. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed
Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement
Education
Bachelor's degree (Any Stream) or diploma with a minimum of 15 years of education.
Experience
(In Years)
Total and relevant experience working on Salesforce Developer / Sr. Developer role should be 4-6 years
Technical Skills
1. Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a strong track record of successfully delivering custom Salesforce solutions.
2. Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce development tools and technologies.
3. Experience with Salesforce configuration, customization.
4. Solid understanding of Salesforce data models, security models, and declarative capabilities.
5. Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), RESTful APIs, and web services.
6. Familiarity with Salesforce integrations and middleware platforms (eg. Jitterbit, Mulesoft).
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
8. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities.
9. Salesforce certifications (such as Salesforce Platform Developer I and II) are a plus.
10. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
