We are looking for an Associate Developer - Salesforce for Chennai location, to join our company.
In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with peace of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. Who you are:
You are an early-career Salesforce developer with practical experience building on the platform. You are eager to grow your skills, follow established best practices, and collaborate closely with more experienced colleagues to deliver quality solutions.
What you will be doing:
Support the development and enhancement of Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows
Develop and maintain custom objects, fields, validation rules, and page layouts
Implement business logic using Apex Classes and Triggers under guidance
Work with Salesforce declarative tools such as Flows, Approval Processes, and legacy Process Builder where applicable
Assist in debugging, testing, and deploying Salesforce solutions
Write unit test classes and maintain required code coverage in line with Salesforce standards
Support configuration and enhancements for Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud
Follow established coding standards, security guidelines, and Salesforce best practices
Collaborate closely with Salesforce administrators, business analysts, and senior developers
Required experience and skills:
2–5 years of hands-on experience on the Salesforce platform
Practical experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and Flows
Basic understanding of the Salesforce security model, including profiles, roles, and permission sets
Familiarity with Change Sets or CI/CD tools
Exposure to Salesforce Sales Cloud or Service Cloud
Working knowledge of Git or other version control systems
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Certifications
• Salesforce Certified Administrator
