Lead strategy to secure preferred specification status across global engineering centers by influencing engineering teams, developing account playbooks, delivering technical training, coordinating with global account managers, overseeing vendor qualification and frame agreement utilization, and managing a distributed team while tracking CRM-driven pipeline and specification-to-order conversion.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Build and expand Emerson’s preferred or exclusive specification status across assigned GECs and product lines.
- Lead early engagement with engineering teams and stakeholders to influence specifications and project outcomes.
- Develop and execute structured account strategies, including playbooks, pipeline visibility, and opportunity mapping.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to align pursuit strategies, share insights, and ensure consistent customer engagement.
- Guide commercial awareness by supporting frame agreements and tracking specification-to-order conversion performance.
- Design and deliver technical training programs to enhance customer engagement and support specification adoption.
- Lead, coach, and develop a geographically distributed team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, provide regular reporting, and use insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across multiple engineering and project functions.
- Develop and maintain a multi-level training plan per assigned Global Engineering Center, including awareness sessions, product application training, and advanced technical workshops; position training as a strategic specification and preference tool. Review equivalent plans developed and maintained by the Project Pursuit Senior Managers.
- Partner with Global Strategic Account Managers and Global Strategic Accounts & Specification Managers to align pursuit strategies and deliver consistent stakeholder messaging for Global Engineering Centers.
- Share account intelligence, specification activity, and project pipeline updates with Global Strategic Account counterparts; support and oversee approved vendor list qualification, Global Frame Agreement utilization, and licensor engagement activities at the Global Engineering Center level, serving as the in-country leadership interface between global programs and the national field team.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant technical field (such as instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering).
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience required; 12+ years preferred.
- Experience engaging with engineering teams, EPC contractors, or owner-operators in industrial automation, instrumentation, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical specifications, vendor qualification processes, or project outcomes.
- Experience leading or mentoring individuals or teams, with a focus on collaboration and development.
- Understanding of the project lifecycle from early design through procurement and execution.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and projects in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical training or product capability sessions to engineering audiences, including drafting structured, multi-level training plans.
- Experience engaging or coordinating with global or strategic account management teams on shared accounts including aligning pursuit strategies and sharing structured account intelligence.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support customers and team collaboration (approximately 25–30%).

- Background in managing distributed or cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to industries such as energy, oil and gas, chemicals, power, data centers, or similar sectors.
- Familiarity with engineering design or specification tools and platforms.
- Advanced education or professional development in business, engineering, or leadership (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience supervising team members located in diverse locations.
- Experience supporting or executing global Approved Vendor List qualification efforts, Global Frame Agreement utilization, and licensor engagement programs at a local or regional level.
