Job purpose
The program consultant will provide project implementation support for the Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation Scale Up project in Oyo state. She/He will work closely with relevant state officials to scale up MMS program planning, implementation, and monitoring, collaborating with the MMS MLE Associate, Senior Manager, and the Country MMS team.

Duties and responsibilities
Program Management Support
- Support the day-to-day planning, implementation, and coordination of the MMS Scale-up state-level program activities cutting across different programmes
- Conduct routine facility-based supervision and monitoring of the MMS Scale-up program activities in collaboration with the Zonal Senior Manager, MLE Associate, and the Country MMS team.
- Maintain a good working relationship with key stakeholders relevant to the MMS Scale-up program and other implementing partners in the state.
- Provide training support and draft key program implementation materials including activity budgets, meeting reports, meeting agendas etc. for the MMS Scale -up program-related activities.
- Engage in coordination and networking with other Evidence Action units, project partners and other relevant stakeholders.
Operational management support
- Provide key support to submission and tracking of ethical approvals, state-level partnership agreements, communications, MoUs, and/ or contracts.
- Provide support to MLE field operations including planning, supervision and reporting.
- Liaise with the operations department on all procurement needs for MMS Scale-up program team travel arrangements for staff, partners, and guests as needed.
Supply Chain support
- Support the state official to develop a monthly MMS supply chain protocol and distribution plan
- Coordinate with state officials on quantification and forecasting of MMS supplies
- Support monitoring to ensure MMS supplies are delivered to health facilities in accordance with the approved distribution plan and resolve stock issues
Communications support
- Coordinate with the team to gather communications material including photos, data points, consent forms, etc.
- As Evidence Action is a dynamic organization, must be willing to provide additional support to country teams as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
- Document and share knowledge management materials such as success stories, case studies, program photographs and consent forms, and other relevant program documentation.
- Contribute and participate in other program-related activities to leverage experiences and learnings within the state and across the zone.
- Provide support to other delegated tasks.
Key performance Indicators
- MMS Scale-up Program activities completed and workplan milestones met on time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Public Health, or a related field e.g., Nutrition, Community Development, International Development with 3+ years’ work experience in the management of program work with community or social enterprises/NGOs.
- Organized and a self-motivated individual who is dedicated to excellence and can complete tasks with minimal supervision
- A fast learner and problem solver who can quickly grasp program information, and identify & act on opportunities for improvement
- Good attention to detail
- Able to juggle competing priorities and deadlines, and to communicate clearly and proactively when plans change
- Demonstrated strong writing skills and project management skills
- Team player who is eager to join a fast-paced, growing and diverse team with a start-up atmosphere
- Experience working internationally or with internationally diverse teams

Working conditions
This position will require frequent field visits to the implementation sites within the state.
