Associate STEM Content Analyst

We are looking for an Associate STEM Content Analyst to join our Polymer team (IP Indexing) in Chennai. This is an amazing opportunity to work for DWPI™ (Derwent World Patent Index) which is a proprietary database to easily search and identify Polymer compounds/compositions/Structures covered in patents. 

About you

  • Must hold a Masters in Chemistry/Polymer science/Organic chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Inorganic Chemistry (M.Sc.,) OR M.Tech/B.Tech in Polymer technology. 
  • Can be a fresher or a talent with 1to 2 years of content experience with outstanding English communication skills.
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting complex datasets. 
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

It will be great if you also have ….

  • Experience in chemical drawing packages, e.g. ISIS Draw 

What will you be doing in this role?  

  • Extracting the novel scientific information from Polymer patents and value-add using DWPI codes in line with editorial policies for the DERWENT INNOVATION product. 
  • Responsible for indexing/coding Polymer information in patents. 
  • Extract and curate polymer related information such as monomers, catalysts, additives, chemical processes, physical operations and applications of Polymer. 
  • Play an active role in team and maintain awareness of current trends and new developments in Polymer/Chemistry areas. 

About the Team    

        Polymer Team in IP Indexing is responsible for the enrichment and curation of high-quality content sets, while adhering to individual and team goals, production targets, and defined quality standards. We analyse patents to create and deliver value-added content that enhances the research value to DWPI products and customers of Clarivate.  

Hours of Work (Permanent role) 

Full-time – 9 am to 6 pm IST
