The Atlassian Cloud Administrator manages and evolves our Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence, and related apps), ensuring it supports our organization across multiple domains and teams. They collaborate with users and teams on proven success patterns and uses of Atlassian products in support of creation and delivery of value. They also support users across the globe and ensure smooth day-to-day operation while also driving strategic initiatives that help manage projects more efficiently.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Function as co-administrator for Jira Software, Confluence, and related apps. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that Agile project management processes are well-integrated within Atlassian platforms. Customize workflows, automate tasks, and manage permissions to streamline project execution. 

  • Enhance Jira and Confluence to support scrum masters, technical project managers and other roles by designing dashboards, advising on workflows, and partnering on metrics and reporting. Provide guidance and solutions that offer real-time visibility into progress against commitments, timelines, and people allocation, facilitating information radiators that visualize progress against strategic goals. 

  • Advise teams on how to best utilize Jira and Confluence to manage sprints, track milestones, and achieve deliverables. Guide teams through Atlassian’s advanced features to optimize collaboration, reduce bottlenecks, and increase efficiency. 

  • Regularly meet with scrum masters, technical project managers, stakeholders, and power users to gather requirements, understand pain points, and implement changes that improve value delivery.  

  • Own the documentation of all Atlassian project workflows, global settings, permissions, and processes. Ensure that every project’s structure is well-documented and easily accessible for future reference, fostering continuity and minimizing disruptions during team transitions. 

  • Stay informed of Atlassian’s product roadmap and advise on new tools and features that might enhance Agile planning and execution capabilities. Function as a change leader by driving the adoption of new Atlassian features that help teams meet their objectives more efficiently. 

 

Qualifications include:  

  • Agile project management experience: 2+ years of experience designing and customizing workflows, managing project permissions, and optimizing project lifecycle management within Jira and Confluence. Skilled at helping teams implement agile project management to plan, execute and track progress against objectives. 

  • Leadership in Atlassian ecosystem: 2+ years administering Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for medium to large enterprises, with demonstrated success in implementing Agile project management best practices. 

  • Certifications and experience: At least one Atlassian Cloud/Jira certifications (ACP) and an understanding of advanced Jira Query Language (JQL), workflow schemes, and project templates. 

  • Change leadership proficiency: Experience driving successful Agile project management initiatives and feature adoption across teams. 

  • Collaboration and communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult with scrum masters, project managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet requirements. 

  • Ownership and accountability: Ownership of the Atlassian environment and the Agile project management capabilities it supports, proactively improving processes and solving problems.
