SigNoz is a global open-source project with users in 30+ countries. We are building an open-source application monitoring tool that helps developers troubleshoot problems quickly. We are nearing 25,000 GitHub stars, have over 6,000 members in our Slack community, and have more than 150 contributors.

About the Role
This is SigNoz's first brand and community marketing hire. You will report directly to our Product Marketing Manager and work alongside the growth team.

We are looking for an "Execution-First" marketer who wants to evolve into a "Strategic Owner." Initially, you will be the engine behind our brand initiatives; handling the logistics, social schedules, and production that keep the brand moving. As you master our market and audience, you will take the reins: analyzing what works, scrapping what doesn't, and pitching original campaigns that define the SigNoz brand.

What you’ll do

  • Phase 1: Master Execution

    • Own Event Groundwork: Coordinate logistics for conferences like KubeCon, including swag, pre-event promotion, and post-event follow-up.

    • Run LinkedIn Lives: Own the monthly production cycle that includes setting up Streamyard/Riverside, managing registrations, and summarizing discussions for attendees.

    • Amplify the Team: Manage social media amplification for the founders and engineering team when they speak at meetups or conferences.

    • Daily Content: Use Figma (or the tool you prefer) to create high-quality social posts and event graphics independently.

  • Phase 2: Drive Strategy & Ownership

    • Campaign Ideation: After executing our planned April 2026 mascot campaign, we expect you to pitch and lead at least one campaign by end of the year.

    • Community Insights: Monitor developer community trends to suggest new ways for SigNoz to show up authentically.

    • Process Optimization: Refine our "playbooks" for events and webinars so they run more efficiently with less oversight.

    • Feature Amplification: Collaborate with the PMM on creative ways to launch and promote technical features like our Datadog Migration Tool.

What you should bring

  • B2B Experience: Proven experience in B2B marketing, ideally within dev tools or technical products.

  • Figma Skills: Ability to handle day-to-day visual content creation independently.

  • Developer Instincts: An understanding of how to communicate authentically with SREs and DevOps engineers.

  • Growth Mindset: You don’t need deep observability knowledge today, but you must be a fast learner who can pick up technical nuances quickly.

  • Operational Discipline: High comfort level with hands-on work, from coordinating shipments to managing webinar tech.

  • Remote Fluency: Strong self-direction and asynchronous communication skills for our distributed team.

A note from the hiring manager:

A common pitfall in creative roles is the idea that 'creativity cannot be measured' or scheduled. At SigNoz, we value creativity deeply, but we value reliability just as much. Because marketing, by default, has many moving parts and dependencies. Once a deadline is agreed upon, it is a commitment to the rest of the team. I’m looking for a partner who takes pride in being disciplined and hitting milestones every single time.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
