Key Responsibilities:
- Writing user stories and developing acceptance criteria with the product owners
- Create a backlog of user stories/epics to be used for estimation
- Prepare and facilitate refinement/planning ceremonies for sprint iterations
- Be a constant source of product information and direction for the team
- Strive for continuous improvement within the team
Requirements/ Skills:
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with BDD/Gherkin, writing detailed user stories and supporting acceptance criteria
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to logically analyse complex requirements, data sets, processes, and systems
- Ability to clearly communicate those requirements to developers and business stakeholders
- Appreciation of how different systems interact with each other through mechanisms such as REST APIs, Message Queues
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, the ability to bring people together to work towards a shared goal
- Knowledge and experience of a wide range of best of breed Agile software development methods, UML or appropriate modelling skills
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders from all levels of the business
- Delivery experience within an Agile and/or web project would be beneficial
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent industry experience
Core Responsibilities
- Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation, as necessary.
- Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
- Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
- Identifies and assesses probable interactions of related computer systems and predicts impact of a change in assigned system.
- May review proposals, including gathering facts, analyzing data and preparing project overview which compares alternatives in terms of cost, time, availability of equipment and personnel etc. Recommends course of action.
- Functions as a liaison between the client, community and internal IT and/or external software vendors to develop system solutions to processing systems or business problems.
- Ensures data quality and integrity across data-specific application implementations.
- Supports the testing team and business users in validating that the programs meet the requirements.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
