Job Description SummaryWe are looking for a Business Analyst with strong experience in BOM costing and cost analysis to support product cost transparency and cost-out execution. The role will focus on tracking product costs, monitoring commodity trends, and working closely with Sourcing and Engineering teams to identify cost gaps, track savings initiatives, and report progress to stakeholders.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain and regularly update BOM-level product cost models

o Track and report product cost changes due to Commodity price movements, Supplier cost updates, Engineering design changes

· Monitor commodity trends and assess their impact on component and product costs

o Collaborate with Sourcing and Engineering to track cost-out ideas and savings realization. Identify and report delays, risks, or gaps against cost targets

o Analyze component cost breakdowns (material, labor, overhead, margin) and compile cost structures of similar components

· Identify cost gaps and work on improvement opportunities

· Prepare regular cost reports and dashboards for management and project reviews

Required Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years of experience in BOM costing, cost analysis, or cost engineering

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (cost models, pivot tables, scenario analysis)

· Good understanding of manufacturing cost structures and commodity-driven costs

· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

· Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in industrial, electrical, energy, or manufacturing environments

· Exposure to cost-out / productivity initiatives

· Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and reporting tools
