About the role

Are you a natural relationship‑builder who thrives on the road, loves autonomy, and enjoys winning in a competitive market? Connectnow is looking for a driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to grow and nurture our Real Estate partner network across the Gold Coast region, extending through to South Brisbane.

This is your chance to join a trusted national brand, help real estate partners maximise revenue opportunities, and play a key role in supporting thousands of customers moving home every year.

As our BDM, you’ll be at the heart of Connectnow’s growth story — building relationships, expanding our partner base, and ensuring our existing network is thriving. In this fast‑paced, competitive market, you’ll have the freedom to own your territory, deliver results your way, and bring fresh ideas to life. You’ll also work closely with a supportive network of peers, partner support teams, and our State Sales Manager — all dedicated to helping you succeed.

This role is on the road, meeting partners face‑to‑face and building genuine long‑term relationships. You’ll enjoy independence, flexibility, and the excitement of a role where every day is different.

You’ll also have support from our Melbourne‑based Partner Support and Call Centre teams to help you deliver a seamless partner experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and growing an active partner portfolio of ~70 real estate clients across the Gold Coast region, extending through to South Brisbane.

  • Sourcing and generating new business leads across multiple channels.

  • Building strong, commercial partnerships aligned with business strategy.

  • Providing exceptional service and support to your partners, becoming a trusted advisor.

  • Gathering market insights and feeding them back to shape future product and service improvements.

  • Delivering results in a largely autonomous, on‑the‑road role, with regular travel across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

  • Collaborating with internal teams — from Partner Support to our broader BDM network — to drive consistent success.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in sales or account management

  • A track record of building strong client relationships and delivering growth.

  • Experience in the Real Estate sector will be highly regarded

  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.

  • A proactive, self‑motivated mindset with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Someone who brings energy, discipline and commercial thinking to everything you do.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a growing, customer‑focused business within AGL.

  • Make a real impact within the Real Estate and home‑moving ecosystem.

  • Enjoy an active, on‑the‑road role where success is in your hands.

  • Work with a collaborative and supportive national Sales team.

If you’re passionate about sales, love building relationships, and want to be part of a high‑performing, fun and supportive team — we’d love to hear from you.

Apply now and join a business that’s all about enabling better moving experiences for customers and partners.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
