The opportunity:
As part of the Hub APMEA Strategy organization, this role enables data-driven strategic decision-making by transforming internal and external data into clear insights that support Hitachi Energy’s mid- to long-term growth ambitions across the APMEA region.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Provide analytical support to Hub and BU strategy development, including growth initiatives, portfolio prioritization, and market entry/expansion topics.
- Support mid-term strategic planning, annual planning, and strategic reviews with data-driven insights and structured analysis. Develop business cases, scenario analyses, and what-if models to support leadership decision-making.
- Drive analysis and insight for monthly and ad-hoc Hub/BU performance discussions, linking financial, commercial, and market indicators to strategic objectives.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting Hub performance and translate them into executive-ready insights.
- Support alignment between strategy, marketing priorities, and commercial execution through analytical storytelling. Maintain a high-level view of market and competitor dynamics to provide strategic context for planning and decision-making.
- Produce periodic intelligence summaries focused on implications for strategy rather than detailed competitive tracking or pricing execution.
- Provide strategic and analytical in leadership discussions and reviews. Deliver insights derived from data analysis along with reporting & Stakeholder Collaboration.
- Develop clear, executive-ready dashboards, reports, and presentations using Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in strategy, consulting, business intelligence, or analytics, preferably in energy sector.
- Microsoft Power BI certification (mandatory) with proven experience in developing insight-driven dashboards and analyses.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to structure ambiguous business problems. Solid financial and business analysis skills to support strategic decision-making.
- Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint storytelling capabilities. Preferred Knowledge & Interests.
- Understanding of Hitachi Energy businesses and markets is an advantage. Strong interest in strategy, macroeconomic trends, and energy market dynamics.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
