The Credit Risk Business Analyst will work with Risk, Finance, and Compliance to support regulatory initiatives and ensure timely reporting to regulatory bodies.
We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Business Analyst with a strong background in Regulatory Reporting, Credit RWA, and Basel III / IV frameworks. The ideal candidate will work closely with Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams to support regulatory initiatives, implement policy changes, and ensure timely and accurate regulatory submissions to authorities such as the PRA and EBA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between Business and Technology teams for regulatory change initiatives.
- Analyze and document business requirements for credit risk-related reporting.
- Support implementation of Basel III / IV standards including Standardized and IRB approaches.
- Drive and coordinate Credit RWA calculations and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with PRA and EBA regulatory guidelines and deadlines.
- Collaborate with Finance teams for accurate Financial and Regulatory Reporting.
- Conduct impact assessments for regulatory updates and implement necessary system/process changes.
- Participate in UAT and support validation of risk models, data flows, and controls.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Analyst in the Banking or Financial Services sector.
- Strong understanding of Credit Risk, Basel III / IV, and Credit RWA frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Regulatory Reporting tools and methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of PRA and EBA requirements.
- Familiarity with regulatory templates and financial reporting structures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in tools like Excel, SQL, and experience with data warehousing concepts is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., FRM, CFA) is a plus.
