Job Title: Freight Forwarding Team Member

Role Overview:

As a Freight Forwarding Team Member at Maersk, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless execution of freight forwarding operations for our global customers. You will manage shipments across ocean, air, and land, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and exceptional customer experience aligned with Maersk’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipment Coordination:
    • Execute freight forwarding activities for ocean, air, and inland shipments.
    • Prepare and validate shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, FCR, invoices, packing lists).
  • Customer Experience & KCXI Standards:
    • Deliver services aligned with KCXI GOLD rating standards, meeting all 23 critical parameters without missing KPIs.
    • Ensure proactive communication and timely updates to customers, maintaining Maersk’s Customer Experience benchmarks.
    • Act as a trusted point of contact for customers, providing proactive updates and resolving queries.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Adhere to global trade compliance, customs regulations, and Maersk policies.
    • Coordinate with customs brokers and authorities for timely clearance.
  • Vendor & Carrier Management:
    • Collaborate with carriers, shipping lines, and third-party logistics providers to secure bookings and optimize costs.
    • Monitor carrier performance and escalate service failures promptly.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Maintain accurate shipment tracking and update Maersk systems for visibility.
    • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and international trade regulations.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Maersk systems and MS Office tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
