Data Engineer - Snowflake, AWS,Tableau

Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure. 

Accountabilities

• Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
• Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
• Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
• Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.

To be successful as Data Engineer - Snowflake, AWS,Tableau you should have experience with:

• Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake (data modelling, SQL, performance tuning, Snowflake objects, and features).
• Proficient in SQL and experience with ETL/ELT development.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably AWS.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Familiarity with data formats like Parquet, Iceberg, and JSON.
• Experience with data orchestration tools
• Understanding of data architecture, data warehousing concepts, and agile delivery practices
• Working knowledge of Tableau, or similar BI tools for downstream consumption. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile team environment and deliver incremental value.
