We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator. This position will be full-time and Onsite Bangalore.
What You’ll Do
- Design data models based on requirements/SRS/HLD/LLDs using tools like ERWIN etc.
- Ability to create ERDs.
- Clarity w.r.t Conceptual, Logical & Physical data models.
- Provision Postgres/MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
- Managing and Administering Cloud based relational Database solutions.
- Have strong experience on configuring and troubleshooting of primary/replica configurations in clustered and non-clustered environment.
- Data migration from on-premises databases to Cloud based database platforms.
- Be a contributor to the database Projects team.
- Design & Implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Solutions for database systems.
- Production Support model on call basis for critical incident handling and emergency support (24X7).
- Strong experience in database administration and production support tasks including Replication, SQL Optimization & Tuning, Monitoring, Backup/Recovery, Troubleshooting and Database Security on large Database environments.
- Exposure to AWS technology Stacks with experience in provisioning
- Experience in Performance Tuning and troubleshooting complex database issues.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and governance frameworks. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues, implementing proactive measures to mitigate these within the scope.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, or Equivalent.
- At least 10-15 years of experience as Database Designer/Administrator
- Data modelling using tools like ERWIN
- Postgres Database Administration on cloud preferably AWS Aurora
- Desired Skills:
- MySQL Database Administration o Oracle Database Administration o
- Exposure to SQL & PL/SQL, shell scripting etc.
