We are seeking an experienced Database System Administrator with 7–15 years of hands-on experience in enterprise database and application infrastructure administration. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Baan ERP, Infor OS, and Tivoli, along with a solid understanding of database administration, system monitoring, performance management, backup and recovery, and production support.

The role requires someone capable of managing complex enterprise environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, security, and optimal performance of critical business applications and databases. The candidate will work closely with application, infrastructure, development, and business teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvements.


RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Administer, monitor, configure, and maintain enterprise database environments supporting Baan ERP and Infor OS applications.
  • Provide technical administration and production support for Baan ERP environments, including system health monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Manage and support Infor OS components and integrations across enterprise application environments.
  • Monitor database and system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement appropriate tuning and optimization measures.
  • Configure and manage Tivoli monitoring and management tools for enterprise infrastructure and application environments.
  • Perform database backup, recovery, restoration, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Monitor system availability, capacity, resource utilization, and overall infrastructure health.
  • Troubleshoot database, application, operating system, and integration-related incidents and ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in production deployments, upgrades, patches, migrations, and system maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, recovery plans, and system configuration records.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to investigate complex production issues and implement permanent solutions.
  • Support high-availability and disaster-recovery environments, including periodic testing and validation.
  • Ensure database and system environments comply with organizational security, access-control, and operational standards.
  • Participate in on-call and critical production support activities when required.
Must-Have Skills
  • 7–15 years of relevant experience in database/system administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Baan ERP administration and support.
  • Strong knowledge of Infor OS administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli monitoring and enterprise management tools.
  • Strong understanding of database administration concepts, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of system monitoring, incident management, problem resolution, and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure, operating systems, networking concepts, and application integrations.
  • Strong scripting and automation capabilities for administration and operational tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-availability and business-critical environments.
Good-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or similar enterprise databases.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
  • Exposure to enterprise application upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
  • Experience with disaster recovery, high availability, and capacity planning.
  • Knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and hybrid enterprise environments.
  • Strong documentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant certifications in database administration, Infor/Baan, Tivoli, Linux, or IT service management will be an added advantage.
