Senior SQL Server engineer responsible for installations, configuration, maintenance, HA/DR (Always On, WSFC, log shipping, replication), performance tuning, query optimization, monitoring/diagnostics, backup/restore and DR planning. Automates tasks with PowerShell/T-SQL and supports cloud migrations to Azure SQL platforms; basic ETL/SSRS/SSIS work.
Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (multiple versions, including modern releases such as 2012–2022) - Installations, configurations and maintenance. Proven experience with HA/DR: Always On AGs, Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC), log shipping, replication. Strong T‑SQL skills, query tuning, index/partition design and maintenance, statistics management. Skilled with monitoring and diagnostics: DMVs, Query Store, Extended Events, SQL Server Profiler, performance counters. Backup/restore and recovery expertise, including point‑in‑time recovery and disaster recovery planning/testing. Automation and scripting using PowerShell, T‑SQL, and familiarity with automation/orchestration tools. Experience with cloud database platforms (Azure SQL Database/Managed Instance) and migrations is strongly preferred. ETL ,SSRS & SSIS basic concepts-Jobs & Packages creation. Monitoring tools : SPOTLIGHT & JAMS Must have : Proficient in performance issues analysis, query tuning.
