Job DescriptionAs a DIT III at Expeditors, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing and implementing test automation frameworks, writing automated tests, and conducting thorough API testing. This role requires a deep understanding of testing methodologies and a passion for creating robust, maintainable test suites.
Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, Cucumber to ensure the stability and functionality of our web applications.
API Testing: Design, implement, and execute API tests to validate data integrity, performance, and reliability.
Test Framework Development: Create and evolve testing frameworks from scratch, incorporating best practices and ensuring scalability and maintainability.
Test Strategy: Collaborate with the QA team and developers to define the overall testing strategy, test plans, and test cases.
Defect Management: Identify, report, and track software defects, working closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolution.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize software performance.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the SDET team, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience
- Proven experience as an SDET or automation engineer, with a strong track record of test automation and framework development.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, Cucumber.
- Solid understanding of API testing tools and techniques ensuring seamless integration between different services.
- Strong in API service automation either in Rest Assured/ SOAP and must be good at writing spring boot tests
- Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Expertise in test framework design and implementation from scratch.
- Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD.
- Strong coding skills in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, typescript, Python, Perl and SQL
- Excellent problem-solving ,debugging skills and Strong communication and collaboration skills..
- Additional skill in Security testing techniques and performance testing tools like JMeter, Grafana K6 to conduct performance and load testing by simulating various user scenarios and stress conditions to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Good to have experience in testing mobile applications across different platforms like iOS, and Android using different tools like Appium, etc
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium WebDriver) a plus.
