Job Summary

Responsible for participating as a technical expert. Plans and directs project teams, troubleshoots operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, contributes to new product implementation, implements existing products and services and the provides overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Applies expert engineering methodologies in one or more engineering areas. Interfaces with vendors, engineering and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • What You’ll Do
    As a member of the Observation and Automation Team, you’ll help support, drive
    improvements and create new functionality on our platforms that provide real-time data and
    insights to our support teams, and across our anti-piracy team
  • Observability: Implement and manage observability tools, with a focus on Grafana
    Cloud and Vector for data ingestion, to monitor and enhance system performance.
  • Design and Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain robust CI/CD
    pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Utilize Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and
    management, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
  • Cloud Management: Design, implement and support resources on Google Cloud
    Platform (GCP) and AWS to ensure cost-efficiency, performance and availability
  • Agile Leadership: Act as a Scrum Master, facilitating Agile ceremonies and driving
    the adoption of SAFe Agile practices within the team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders and product owners to ensure
    products delivered are fit for purpose
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture ofcontinuous learning and improvement..Candidate Specification

    What You’ll Bring
  • A passion for technology with skills in the following areas:
    Comprehensive understanding of SRE principles
    Deep technical understanding of Linux, inc Redhat and Centos
    Using and integrating with REST APIs
    Cloud experience such as GCP pub/sub, BigData
    Interest and ability to learn other development languages & tools as required.
  • Ideally you’ll be keen to learn about and use
    o CNCF monitoring tools such as Open Tracing and Prometheus and also have an interest in Observability
    o Machine Learning and anomaly detection
    o An interest in AIOps and GenAI
  • We’re looking for individuals who are
    o Excited by using cutting edge technology
    o Are creative thinkers, driven by building creative solutions to problems
    o Have a structured approach to work
    o Think beyond their areas of responsibility
    o Happy leading in an Agile team and has a good understanding of SAFe Agile
