Prepare electrical design and drafting deliverables in AutoCAD, including power, lighting, grounding, hazardous-area, cable-routing, and equipment layouts. Develop drawings from engineering calculations and markups, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, incorporate client revisions, maintain document control and drafting standards, and support model reviews, construction, commissioning, and as-built documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards across FEED, detailed engineering, brownfield, and greenfield projects.
- Prepare and develop electrical design and drafting deliverables using AutoCAD.
- Produce and update:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Electrical equipment layouts
- Power distribution layouts
- Lighting layouts
- Earthing/Grounding layouts
- Lightning protection layouts
- Cable tray and cable routing layouts
- Hazardous area electrical layouts
- Electrical room layouts
- Cable block diagrams and interconnection diagrams
- Electrical installation details
- Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Develop detailed drawings based on engineering calculations and markups provided by electrical engineers.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, civil/structural, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure design integration.
- Perform equipment and cable location studies based on project requirements.
- Incorporate client comments and design revisions while maintaining drawing quality and document control.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, API, and project-specific requirements.
- Participate in model reviews and interdisciplinary design reviews.
- Support construction and commissioning teams by providing design clarifications and as-built documentation.
- Maintain project drafting standards, templates, and drawing registers.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 3–10 years of experience in electrical design and drafting for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Offshore, or EPC projects.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Experience in preparing electrical design deliverables for FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Brownfield/Greenfield projects.
- Understanding of electrical systems including:
- LV/MV power distribution
- Lighting systems
- Earthing and lightning protection
- Cable management systems
- Hazardous area installations
- LV/MV power distribution
