Title:

Electrical Designer

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

As part of the electrical engineering team you will be involved in the design of electrical systems for the oil and gas and/or power including renewable energies industries. This may be a conceptual study or front-end engineering design (FEED) or a design execution involving, the procurement of all equipment and detailed drawings for the construction and commissioning of an entire facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in drafting/design activities using AutoCAD/Microstation

  • Drafting SLDs and schematics with support of engineers

  • Prepare electrical layouts independently taking care of inter discipline interfaces

  • Prepare design/construction standards with minimum support

  • Modeling of cable trays, light fixtures and other electrical items in E3D/S3D environment

  • Prepare material quantities for electrical bulks independently

  • Use of review tools like NavisWorks/Smartplant Review

  • Understanding and implementing client requirements / local / international codes and standards relevant to electrical design

  • Understand and implement quality system requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or equivalent

  • 4 years of related experience in electrical engineering with, average experience ranging from 6-10 years

  • Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word

  • Good understanding of Electrical concepts and 3 phase power calculations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Managing a small team of designers

  • Working in multi-cultural environment

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Provide effective training to young designers in 2D/3D Tools
