About the Team:
The KAVS team, part of CONNECT at Comcast, is dedicated to supporting GIS products and applications that deliver value to customers and help divisions address real business challenges. In addition to providing support for various GIS applications, the team manages web applications, databases, and infrastructure upgrades in alignment with Comcast standards. Our goal is to ensure high application availability while enhancing user experience and making interactions seamless and user-friendly.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the ingestion of spatial data into the ecosystem from various vendors using ESRI tools and FME.
- Provide application support by addressing and resolving issues on a ticket-based system.
- Participate in operational support, including on-call responsibilities, incident management, and ticket resolution.
- Develop and automate workflows and data processing tasks using Python and FME.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of GIS and other systems.
- Take on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support team goals.
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:
- Must have:
- GIS: ESRI (ArcPro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Webapp builder)
- ETL: FME
- Programming/Scripting: knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages.
- Database: Oracle, Mongo
- Good to have:
- Experience in working with GIS Telecom Projects
- Cloud Technologies: Some exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Reporting Tool: Any reporting tool
Experience Level:
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in GIS (ESRI), FME, Python, Sql and Mongo
