R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as KONE 24/7 Connected Services, Office Flow and Partnership Ecosystem. Our common goal at KONE is to keep the end users safe and people flow uninterrupted. KONE moves 2 billion people every day and that means our services can really make cities better places to live
 

Why this role?

We are seeking for an Engineer - Electronics supports the design, testing, and implementation of electronic systems and components. This role involves hands-on work with circuit design, embedded systems, and electronic testing, under the guidance of Chief Design Engineers. Ideal for candidates with foundational knowledge in electronics and a drive to innovate.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Assist in the design and development of analog and digital electronic circuits.

  • Doing designs with KONE Electronics Design Automation tools or any popular EDA tools in the industry

  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic hardware and embedded systems.

  • Prepare technical documentation, schematics, and test reports.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers.

  • Conduct component selection and ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Participate in prototype development and field testing                                            

 

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in Hardware Development Life Cycle (HDLC)

  • Familiar with European & American codes for hardware design (IEC, IPC, EN and CSA etc).

  • Knowledge in Board design on Power supply topologies, Analog Design, Digital design, microprocessor and Microcontroller based design, Memory Interfaces.

  • Good Knowledge in component selection based on requirements.

  • Sound Knowledge on communication protocols like RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, USB, ETHERNET, CAN etc

  • Knowledge to EMI, EMC standards & DFM, DFT

  • Knowledge in RF fundamental for design.

  • Knowledge to PCB Design & Simulation tools for Circuit design and analysis.

  • Knowledge on Signal Integrity & Power Integrity analysis

 

Are you the one?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Communication/Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.

  • 2–5 years of experience in electronics design or testing (internships included).

  • Familiarity with EDA tools such as Cadence OrCad/Allegro, Zuken Cadstar, Zuken CR8000, Altium, CAM350, Cadence OrCAD PSPICE, LTSPICE, SI/PI, DFx etc… for Schematics and Layout design

  • Familiarity / Basic Hands on with Lab Equipments - MSO/DSO, Logic analyser, Thermal, High end Power supplies etc…

  • Problem solving skills, Self Learning attitude, Self driven, Good Communication, Innovative, Analytical & Presentation skills.
