Engineer - GISOCC IS Infrastructure

Responsibilities

As a Team Member, ensure that,

• Work with N+1 to formulate the tactical plan to meet the Development Strategies for database 

• Work with application, network, cloud, and security teams to onboard new services to monitoring.

• Experience in monitoring tools (Grafana/prometheus/nagios/Solarwinds/)

• Working knowledge in Docker and CICD pipelines , Gitlab and Terraform, 

• Should have good experience of monitoring application and infrastructure(windows, linux,vmware, hyper-v,network devices etc)

• Integration with different tools, API integrations and reports

• Scripting skillset (Python/PowerShell)

• Knowledge in creating Alert rules for monitoring

• Create dashboards for NOC, DevOps, and application teams to visualize health and performance.

• Develop custom views and reports for key metrics (uptime, response time, capacity usage).

• In- depth experience installing, configuring, maintaining monitoring tools.

• Experience with Data visualization

• Good understanding of Linux/Windows OS, network protocols, and cloud infrastructure 

• Support troubleshooting by providing deep insights into logs and metrics.

• Maintain installation and configuration procedures, and drive complex projects and technical solutions

• Support the efforts for cross-training and collaboration with other members of the Infrastructure Operations team 

• Develop shared knowledge of leveraged tools on the Infrastructure Operations team, eliminating single points of knowledge and dependencies 

• Work with N+1 & Lead Engineers to establish and support technical policies and procedures 

• Drive compliance and security efforts related to systems managed by GISOCC

• Drive improved “Efficiency” using consistent and documented procedures 

• Work with the stakeholders on project progress, issues and solutions 

Apply, (communicate and ensure if manager) the compliance with the procedures and Environmental, Safety and Security good practices, to know, for their activities and the activities of subcontractors, the potential risks and their consequences, be there attentive and be reagent and know the associated action plans.
