Job Description:The major responsibility of this role is to do BI & DWH project implementations using ETL tools – Informatica/ SyncSort, Querying using HIVE, PRESTO, Spark. He/she is responsible for guiding the team and sharing knowledge with them. Candidate will be responsible for successful deployment and support of the code. He/she will be responsible for guiding and mentoring team members and new hiresQualifications:
Skills:
- 2+ years of hands-on and good experience in ETL tools – Informatica/SyncSort
- Excellent Communication and analytic skills
- Good Understanding of Data Warehousing and etl concept
- Knowledge of SAFe Agile Methodology
- Perform hands-on design and development activities for Extract Transform and Load (ETL) tasks using Guardian approved tools like Informatica and Syncsort and adept at performing impact analysis for ETL changes.
- Perform hands-on development activities using Guardian approved tools like Syncsort components (DMX tasks and jobs, integrating with scheduler), HIVE, HAWQ, Spark SQL, AWS-EMR and perform Unit testing for all deliverables
- Perform hands-on UNIX, PL/SQL, HQL development and perform Unit testing for all deliverables
- Create and maintain Technical documentation for work deliverables including but not limited to Functional specification, Unit Test Plans, Deployment and Migration Documents, Mapping Document, Data Flow Document, Runbooks and Release notes
- Experience with advanced PL/SQL – Procedures, Triggers, Constraints, Cursors, Functions
- Experience with ETL and query performance optimization, technical analysis, and solution design
- Coordinate and interact with the On-site / Off-shore team to clarify on requirements / issues if any
- Perform all applicable SDLC activities for the work items assigned including requirement analysis, impact analysis and effort estimations.
- Perform initial analysis of tasks, perform effort estimations based on Guardian standards, assign and monitor work queues.
- Provide Review, Testing support and production deployment and post-production (warranty) support for work deliverables
- Ensure adherence to Guardian Security, Compliance and Development Standards for work deliverables.
- Co-ordination with the Guardian SME's and participate in knowledge transition sessions
- Establish, maintain, and enforce ETL design principles, techniques, standards, and best practices
- Drive the technical design of ETL reference architecture to ensure high data quality, data integration performance and error recovery/handling.
- Review and assess existing ETL applications, to support new features, performance improvements, upgrades, and provide ongoing support.
- Resolve any Application defects or Job abends
- Work closely with other teams – DBA’s, Network, Storage, Scheduling and User Admin to triage issues and resolve job abends
- Work on creating steady state deliverables and provide clarifications required for timely Production incident resolution and carrying out
- On Call Level 2 Production support activities for supported applications
- Responsible for proof-of-concept of new approaches and ideas, technology evaluation, maintain the As Is data architecture, develop To Be and transition architecture.
- Self-motivated and ability to work on his/her individual capacity
- Ability to identify automation opportunities and implement automation

Education and Experience:
Education: B.Tech Computers/MCA
Experience: 2-4 years in development projects with BI/ DWH background.
